Will Tony Blair go to jail?
Mr Yates of Scotland Yard has been conducting an investigation into the sleazy ‘cash for honours’ soap opera that’s been going on since Tony Blair became prime minister in 1997. There’s so much evidence that Commisioner Yates has presented the facts to the crown prosecution service. Not something he would do lightly.
So will he or won’t he (our Tony) end up doing porridge?
Tony says he knew nothing about it. A…hem. Given that no one can bestow a peerage without his sayso, he is basically asking us to believe that black is white. Of course the nodding heads that he surrounds himself with all agree. Yes black is indeed white and us plebs out there are just plain stupid if we can’t see that.
Lord Levy, (the multi-millionaire that pays less tax than a man on average wage), is chief brown envelope stuffer and fund raiser who’s evidently been going round passing on the message to rich people, that there will be very nice renumeration plus a cosy seat in the house of Lords if they can see their way to ‘lending’ a few bucks to the impoverished Labour Party.
‘Giving’ is not allowed according to a law passed by Tony himself when he arrived in power; ‘we are whiter than white’ was the mantra of the day. So someone came up with ‘lending’, effectively circumventing the law.
As we know there is a different law for us ordinary folk and those in power. So it will come as no surprise to learn that Tony has got an ace up his sleeve in the form of a chap, old chum, named Lord Goldsmith.
Tony was astute enough to realize that if he appointed his old chum as Attorney General, even though he didn’t have the proper experience or qualifications for the job, he would have a man who was totally beholden to him, in a key position should he get caught out selling peerages, (or anything else illegal for that matter).
And guess what his chum has now been elected to do?
Why, nothing less than decide if there is enough evidence to prosecute Tony.
I went down to the bookies to see if any bets were going. Nope. Not a chance. Everyone knows which way this one’s going.
Buy shares in whitewash companies now. It’s gonna take container loads of the stuff to cover up the nasty stains.
